Description

We are seeking an SVP, Strategy to serve as a senior strategic partner and right hand to Central Strategy leadership across high-priority new business, predictive strategy, innovation, and enterprise growth initiatives.
This is a role for a sharp, commercially minded strategist who can move fluidly between big-picture thinking and hands-on execution. The right person will help lead critical pitches, shape strategic narratives, advance Predictive Storytelling capabilities, and bring greater focus, rigor, and momentum to complex client and agency opportunities.
This person must be equally comfortable building a compelling pitch story, pressure-testing data-driven insights, partnering with creative and account leaders, managing senior stakeholders, and turning ambiguity into clear direction. They should bring the judgment of a senior leader, the drive of a builder, and the polish of someone who can confidently represent strategy in rooms that matter.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate is a senior strategist who is highly capable, calm under pressure, and energized by building what does not yet exist. They are not just a thinker; they are a doer who can lead from the front, make the work better, and help teams win.
They should bring strong experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, or agency strategy, with a proven ability to lead complex strategic work across brands, pitches, and enterprise initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Lead High-Stakes Pitch Strategy
  • Partner with agency and enterprise leaders to shape winning new business strategies across priority opportunities.
  • Own strategic workstreams for major pitches, including insight development, narrative architecture, strategic positioning, workshop facilitation, and presentation development.
  • Translate business challenges, market dynamics, audience behavior, and brand opportunities into clear, compelling pitch stories.
  • Bring structure and momentum to fast-moving pitch teams, helping teams stay focused, differentiated, and on-strategy.
  • Serve as a senior strategic voice in pitch meetings, rehearsals, client presentations, and executive reviews.
  • Help identify when Central Strategy support is needed and ensure the right level of strategic involvement is applied to the right opportunities.
Advance Predictive Strategy and Innovation
  • Help scale Predictive Storytelling as a practical, repeatable strategic capability across pitches, brand engagements, and client growth opportunities.
  • Partner with data, behavioral science, AI, creative, and account teams to apply predictive approaches in ways that are credible, useful, and commercially relevant.
  • Shape predictive strategy outputs, including audience hypotheses, behavioral insights, influence models, positioning territories, messaging implications, and activation opportunities.
  • Ensure predictive strategy work is translated into clear business value for clients, avoiding overpromising while increasing confidence, foresight, and strategic precision.
  • Help develop tools, frameworks, case studies, and ways of working that make predictive strategy easier for teams to understand, sell, and apply.
Serve as a Senior Strategic Partner
  • Act as a trusted advisor to senior leaders across agencies, capabilities, and client teams.
  • Bring strategic clarity to ambiguous, politically complex, or high-pressure business situations.
  • Identify stronger ways to frame client challenges, uncover growth opportunities, and connect strategy to measurable business impact.
  • Help teams move from scattered inputs to a focused recommendation, model, or story.
  • Provide constructive pressure-testing to strengthen work before it reaches clients or executive stakeholders.
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships while maintaining high standards for strategic quality and rigor.
Build Strategic Infrastructure
  • Help create reusable strategic frameworks, pitch models, predictive strategy tools, and training materials.
  • Contribute to the evolution of Central Strategy's offerings, operating model, and enterprise impact.
  • Support stronger intake, prioritization, and ways of working for high-value strategic requests.
  • Help mentor and coach strategists, account leaders, and cross-functional partners in more predictive, behaviorally informed, commercially useful strategy.
  • Spot patterns across pitches and client needs to inform new offerings, thought leadership, and growth opportunities.
Required Experience and Skills
  • Significant senior-level strategy experience in healthcare, pharmaceutical, life sciences, communications, advertising, consulting, or a related agency environment.
  • Proven track record leading or materially contributing to major new business pitches.
  • Strong ability to build persuasive strategic narratives, executive presentations, and client-ready recommendations.
  • Experience working with data, research, behavioral insights, audience segmentation, AI-enabled strategy, predictive analytics, or innovation-driven strategy.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, positioning, stakeholder engagement, influence, behavior change, and integrated communications.
  • Ability to translate complex inputs into simple, compelling strategic direction.
  • Excellent facilitation, presentation, writing, and storytelling skills.
  • Strong executive presence and the ability to advise senior leaders with confidence and diplomacy.
  • Ability to work quickly and independently in ambiguous, high-pressure environments.
  • Strong cross-functional leadership skills, with the ability to partner effectively across strategy, creative, account, analytics, medical, digital, and executive teams.
  • High standards for quality, detail, follow-through, and strategic discipline.
What Success Looks Like
In this role, success means:
  • Priority pitches are sharper, more differentiated, and better positioned to win.
  • Predictive Storytelling becomes easier for teams to understand, apply, and sell.
  • Strategic work moves faster without sacrificing rigor.
  • Senior leaders have greater confidence in the strategic direction of major opportunities.
  • Teams receive clearer frameworks, stronger narratives, and more useful strategic outputs.
  • Central Strategy has more leverage, visibility, and impact across the organization.
  • The SVP becomes a trusted extension of leadership: someone who can take ownership, represent the work, and drive meaningful progress without needing heavy oversight.
