*Data Center Technical Trainer / Workforce Development Lead* We are seeking *experienced data center technicians* who are ready to take the next step in their careers: *mentoring, leading, and developing the next generation of data center professionals*. This role supports a largescale *workforce development initiative* and is ideal for technicians who have grown within data center operations and want to share their realworld expertise.
This position blends *handson operational knowledge with technical leadership* in both classroom and lab environments. You'll work closely with developing technicians, helping translate live data center experience into practical skills, best practices, and longterm career readiness. *What You'll Do* * Lead *onboarding and development* for new data center technicians * Provide handson *mentoring, coaching, and technical guidance* * Share realworld experience from live *data center operations* * Support infrastructure deployments, troubleshooting, and operational learning * Deliver technical leadership in *classroom and lab environments* * Assist with lab setup, operational readiness, and program coordination * Complete reporting, documentation, and administrative program tasks * Partner with CBRE leadership to support longterm workforce development initiatives *Who This Role Is For* This role is ideal for professionals who have worked in data centers and are ready to: * Step into a *leadership and trainerfocused position* * Influence technician development without leaving the technical environment entirely * Apply their knowledge of production data centers to teaching and mentorship *Required Experience & Core Skills* * Strong background in *Data Center Operations and Infrastructure Support* * Experience with *server deployments, hardware troubleshooting, and operational workflows* * Proven *technical leadership* and mentoring or teamlead experience * Handson knowledge of *data center infrastructure* environments * Ability to clearly explain technical concepts and guide groups in operational settings *Preferred Skills & Qualifications* * Experience in *hyperscale or enterprise data centers* * Familiarity with structured cabling, lowvoltage systems, and *fiber* * Exposure to environments such as *Meta, Google, AWS, or other hyperscale providers* * *BICSI, OSHA, or other industry certifications* * Bilingual skills are a plus * Comfortable presenting and leading groups in classroom or lab environments *Why This Opportunity* * Transition from technician to *trainer/leader without leaving the data center space* * Influence and shape a *scalable workforce development program* * Make a longterm career impact by developing skilled technicians If you're an experienced data center professional ready to *pass on your knowledge, lead others, and help build the future data center workforce*, this role offers a meaningful and rewarding next step. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Indianapolis, IN. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
