We're seeking an Accountant to join the Company's headquarters accounting team based in Burlington, MA. This is a great opportunity for an aspiring accounting professional to join an acquisitive and growing publicly traded cybersecurity software company. This role will report to the Director, Accounting. The Accountant will play a key role in monthly accounting closes, reporting, as well as special projects that arise. Day-to-day, this role will be involved with journal entry preparation, account analysis, balance sheet reconciliations, and will also prepare reports through analysis of financial data. The Accountant role will also collaborate with other teams across the business.

Please note that this is a hyrid role that requires on-site work at our office in Burlington, MA.


What You'll Do

  • Perform monthly financial close activities for the North America business entities including:
    • Balance sheet reconciliations on accounts assigned, ensuring transactions are reported correctly
    • Analyze profit and loss accounts
    • Complete detailed flux analysis for North America
    • Prepare and record journal entries, and maintain associated records and files
    • Assist with intercompany journal entries and settlements
  • Maintain internal control documentation and comply with internal controls over various processes (i.e., Sarbanes-Oxley compliance)
  • Create and report relevant financial data for internal end users and stakeholders
  • Coordinate cross-functionally to understand accounting transactions
  • Research accounting discrepancies in the general ledger to prevent control deficiencies and gather data to support SEC reporting requirements
  • Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with GAAP and internal policies/procedures
  • Assist with internal and external audit processes and preparation
  • Other duties and projects as assigned, including assisting with indirect tax reporting preparation for US entities as well as assisting with annual 1099 reporting preparation

What You'll Bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • Minimum of 1 year of accounting or finance experience required
  • Experience with NetSuite a plus
  • Strong MS Excel skills, including pivot tables and vlookups
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Solid understanding of GAAP and ability to apply GAAP to standard business transactions
  • Strong written and oral communication skills
  • Team player with a positive 'can do' attitude
  • Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task and balance competing priorities in a deadline-oriented environment. Know when to take action and when to ask for help.
  • A strong work ethic, commitment to quality and attention to detail

This position has a starting base salary range of $59,700 to $75,600 per year. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience. This position is also eligible for bonus.
