| Position Summary |
The Hahn Laboratory in the Department of Pharmacology seeks a temporary Research Technician to support ongoing research activities related to cell signaling and dynamic imaging approaches. This role provides hands on laboratory support and assists with day-to-day research operations under of senior lab personnel.
The position supports ongoing research activities by performing routine laboratory procedures and experiments under established protocols. Responsibilities include preparing reagents, buffers, and solutions; maintaining accurate experimental records; and assisting with data organization. The role also supports general laboratory operations by helping maintain equipment, ensuring an organized and safe workspace, and assisting with supply ordering and inventory management as needed. Adherence to all laboratory safety standards and university compliance requirements is essential, as is providing general support to faculty, postdoctoral researchers, and graduate students to ensure smooth day-to-day lab operations.
The Research Technician will contribute to experimental setup and execution, routine laboratory procedures, data organization, and general lab maintenance. This position is well suited for individuals seeking additional research experience in an academic laboratory setting. |
| Minimum Education and Experience Requirements |
Demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work. |
| Management Preferences |
Coursework in Biology or related field.
Basic knowledge of laboratory techniques and procedures
Strong attention to detail with ability to follow written and verbal instructions
Ability to work independently and as part of a research team |
