We are hiring a Platform Engineer (Backstage) to join our client remotely! Responsibilities * Develop and customize Backstage (plugins, catalog, scaffolder) to support developer workflows * Design self-service tooling and improve overall developer experience * Build and manage cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) and Kubernetes environments * Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Kubernetes-based tools (e.g., Crossplane) * Create and maintain CI/CD pipelines (GitLab) and manage artifacts (JFrog) * Apply SRE principles (SLOs, monitoring, reliability) using tools like Datadog * Automate workflows and solve complex system issues across distributed environments * Contribute to API development and follow SDLC best practices Qualifications/Technical Skills Needed: * Experience working as a Platform Engineer, DevOps, or Software Engineer * Experience with Backstage * Strong coding skills (TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, React, NodeJS) * Cloud experience (AWS and/or GCP) and Kubernetes * Proficiency with Terraform and CI/CD pipelines * Experience with Docker, observability tools, and troubleshooting distributed systems Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Dallas, Texas. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $70.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
