Packaging Engineer

You'll Support Meaningful Work By:

* Providing technical support to manufacturing, distribution, vendors, and dealers to diagnose issues and implement effective packaging solutions

* Collaborating with cross-functional partners including Sourcing, Engineering, Quality, Marketing, and Logistics to resolve packaging challenges and improve outcomes

* Evaluating packaging processes to optimize material usage, labor efficiency, and overall cost performance

* Leading efforts to design, test, and implement sustainable and cost-effective packaging solutions

* Supporting new product introductions by developing and implementing packaging that meets quality, cost, and timeline expectations

* Creating work instructions, maintaining accurate process documentation, and training operators on packaging standards

* Investigating quality and damage issues and driving continuous improvements to reduce complaints and improve product protection

Minimum Qualifications:

* 4-year technical degree in Packaging Engineering or an equivalent field

* 1-10+ years of related experience in packaging, manufacturing, or a similar environment

* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

* Demonstrated ability to work independently while collaborating across multiple teams in manufacturing and office environments

* Working knowledge of packaging materials, equipment, and processes

* Authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for sponsorship now or in the future

Desired Skills and Experience:

* Experience performing cost analysis related to packaging materials, cube optimization, and labor efficiency

* Familiarity with packaging design tools and systems such as CAPE, SAP, or Windchill

* Knowledge of ASTM and ISTA shipping test standards and validation methods

* Experience investigating quality issues and implementing corrective actions to reduce damage or defects

* Creativity in developing innovative and sustainable packaging solutions

* Adaptability and comfort working in a changing, fast-paced environment
