The Internship Program with WPS Health Solutions is comprised of two key components. The first component involves gaining practical experience to supplement academic coursework and prepare for future career pursuits. This will be comprised of a hands-on role within a functional area related to a relevant field of study. Each internship incorporates responsibilities and tasks which support the business objectives and client service offerings, while providing ongoing collaboration with experienced departmental colleagues and exposure to "real world" business demands. The second element centers on exposure to corporate culture and professional development:

This Intern will support large-scale organizational and technology initiatives, including system and network separation efforts across business units. This role focuses on coordinating workstreams, facilitating communication, and ensuring alignment across teams. The position emphasizes project organization and change orchestration rather than deep technical expertise.

Pay rate:
$21.00/hour
The base pay rate offered for this position may vary within the posted range based on your job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
Hybrid Work
This position will be hybrid, having the regional availability to come into our Office 3 days a week cadence. Our office location: WPS Corporate Center Building - 1717 W. Broadway in Madison, WI, 53713.

What you will do as an IT Transformation Intern:



  • Assist in coordinating activities related to information systems (IS) and network separation, including alignment of technology and staff across commercial and government environments.
  • Organize and drive multiple workstreams by tracking tasks, managing timelines, and ensuring progress toward key milestones.
  • Bring together stakeholders across IT and business teams to ensure clarity around processes, roles, and points of contact during transitions.
  • Draft and coordinate internal communications to keep stakeholders informed of project updates, expectations, and changes.
  • Act as a central point of coordination to help move initiatives forward, ensuring alignment and execution across teams.
  • Support IT teams with project coordination, documentation, and operational tasks as needed.

Minimum Qualifications



  • US. Citizenship is required for this position due to Department of Defense restrictions.
  • Be currently pursuing a degree in higher education or recent graduate.


Preferred Qualifications



  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Risk Management, Project Management or related field.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks and stakeholders simultaneously.
  • Strong exposure with Microsoft tools such as Excel and PowerPoint.
