Responsibilities
Palo Verde Behavioral Health Hospital is seeking an experienced Manager of Nursing (Mgr, Nursing). Come join our Team for a challenging and rewarding career! The Mgr, Nursing is part of the Leadership Team and is responsible for the clinical practice of nursing within assigned units which includes directing all services provided by the Nursing Services Department, including nurses and behavioral health techs. The Nurse Manager is responsible for ensuring coordinated delivery of patient care in accordance with the established standards of care, mental health practice and hospital policy, goals and objectives.This position assists in contributing to the hospital's philosophy, objectives, educational and Performance & Improvement efforts, while providing supervision to the nursing staff assigned to his/her unit and assisting the DCS in program development. Qualifications Education:Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursingrequired,or equivalent combination of education and experience in psychiatric nursing management. Bachelor's Degreepreferred. Experience:Aminimum of three (3) years' experience in Nursing Administration and/oradedicatedLeadershiprolein Psychiatric Nursingis preferred. Licensure: Mustbe currentlylicensed to practiceinAZbythe Arizona State Board of Nursing. Additional Requirements:Thorough knowledge of JCAHO, CMS, OSHA requirements, and state and federal regulatory requirements. CPR certification upon hire, and successful completion of training inHandle with Carewithin30 daysof employment, and prior toassistingin restraining procedures.
