From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis Midwest Yogurt, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Sr. Financial Analyst based in Reed City, Michigan. The Sr. Financial Analyst position at our Reed City plant offers an exciting and differentiating opportunity to build your knowledge of Supply Chain! In this role you will gain important experiences, including working on productivity and transformational initiatives, building and executing a financial plan, partnering with plant operations to support business results and the plant mission, building a strong controls environment, and analyzing metrics to provide business insights.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Developing, executing, and monitoring the annual operating plan for our Milk Plant including periodic financial forecasts, cream sale settlement/invoicing and monthly financial close.
  • Providing receipt, utilization and production information for the Federal Milk Market and USDA.
  • Developing and updating as needed white mass base Bill of Materials.
  • Monitoring financial performance and developing plans to close any gaps to plant targets, including communication with applicable platforms.
  • Supporting site delivery of annual productivity targets.
  • Ensuring effective financial controls for inventory and reporting.
  • Maintaining audit-ready status of internal controls through periodic review and self-audit.
  • Providing support and leadership on cross functional plant and corporate initiatives.
  • Providing fill-in coverage to the Finance Manager as needed.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance or business with accounting experience
  • 1+ years of related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools, especially Excel
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Ability to work well on a team and build effective relationships across all levels of the organization
  • Initiative-taking, self-starter with attention to detail, able to establish processes, make process improvements, and effectively organize own work
  • Willingness to get outside of traditional financial roles to support plant operations
  • Able to identify and extract the right data from financial systems to provide meaningful analysis

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of related experience
  • Experience working in a finance/accounting role within manufacturing
  • Working knowledge of Warehouse Management software
  • Experience in food manufacturing
