THE ROLE

The Trading Solutions Analyst will play a critical role in supporting the trading and quantitative trading solutions teams by organizing trading data analysis for internal and external stakeholders, including addressing client and prospect driven data requests, and enhancing trading reporting. This role also involves acting as a key liaison with internal client-facing teams, explaining trading processes, transaction cost analysis (TCA), and best execution practices.

Additionally, the role will include responsibilities for supporting Board and governance oversight reporting, ensuring the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of trading-related data and insights for senior trading leadership.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of TCA, trading practices, and governance reporting requirements, along with a passion for improving trading efficiency and data analytics. While the role includes foundational support for client engagement and governance reporting, it offers potential to evolve into other strategic areas related to analytic reporting, client communication, and governanceover time.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Process Organization and Optimization:
    Take ownership of organizing and streamlining trading and client reporting, ensuring efficient and scalable processes for handling data requests, reporting, and analytics.
  • Liaison with Client-facing Teams:
    Serve as the primary point of contact representing Trading for internal client-facing teams, providing clear and detailed explanations of trading processes, transaction cost analysis (TCA), and best execution practices to support client proposals and inquiries.
  • Quantitative Data Requests:
    Collaborate with quantitative trading strategists to manage and automate client-driven and internal data requests, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of insights.
  • TCA:
    Assist in the development and maintenance of trading analytics, including TCA reporting and analysis, to support decision-making, trading cost evaluation, and client engagement.
  • Board and Oversight Reporting:
  • Help to prepare trading-related reports and insights for board meetings and governance committees. Ensure the accuracy, transparency, and timeliness of data provided to senior trading leadership and stakeholders.

  • Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    Work closely with trading, technology, operations, and governance teams to identify inefficiencies, implement process improvements, and enhance overall trade reporting efficiency.
  • Strategic Communication:
    Develop materials that effectively communicate trading strategies, workflows, and data insights, including TCA, best execution practices, and governance reporting, to internal stakeholders, clients, and oversight committees.
  • Growth and Development:
    Collaborate with senior trading leaders to gain exposure to broader trading initiatives and develop skills for future opportunities, which may include client-facing, governance, or other strategic roles.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR

  • Educational Background:
    Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, preferably in finance, economics, business, or a related field.
  • Professional Experience:
    5-7 years of experience in trading, trading analytics, operations, or a related role with a focus on process organization, operational support, trading workflows, and governance reporting.
  • Detail-Oriented and Proactive:
    A meticulous approach to work, with a proactive growth mindset and a strong desire to learn within the trading, operational analytics, and governance reporting domains.
  • Organizational Skills:
    Demonstrated ability to manage and optimize processes, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in data handling, reporting, and operational workflows. Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines, including under tight turnaround times.
  • Communication Skills:
    Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate trading processes, TCA, best execution practices, and governance reporting to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Knowledge of TCA, Best Execution, and Governance Reporting:
    Familiarity with transaction cost analysis (TCA) methodologies, best execution processes, industry practices, and governance reporting requirements is highly desirable.
  • Team Collaboration:
    A team-oriented professional with the ability to work effectively across business, technology, operations, and governance teams.

Base Salary Range: $150,000 - 157,000

This position is eligible for competitive incentive bonus.

This range reflects our good-faith expectation forwhat we'll pay depending on the candidate's experience, training and education. In addition to the salary, we also offer significant and competitive incentive compensationbased on both individual and company performance. Other components of our Total Rewards Package include:

  • MFS contributes an amount equal to 15% of your base salary to your retirement account that is separate from the company -sponsored 401(k)
