From your PASSION to ours

Lactalis American Group, part of the Lactalis family of companies, is currently hiring a Marketing Intern based in Buffalo, NY.

The Intern will be expected to work for one-year duration, can be part-time while in school. The Marketing Intern will be responsible for assisting the Senior Marketing Manager with consumer product line management including analysis of industry data, consumer promotion development and product innovation.

From your EXPERTISE to ours

Key responsibilities for this position include:

  • Develop, maintain, and promote sales efforts by creating the corresponding sales material such as Point of Sale (P.O.S), power point presentations, and industry data.
  • Create/update packaging designs based on new product launch or modifications to current items.
  • Conduct market research and analyze industry data.
  • Communicate results effectively and maintain a disciplined approach to activity and attitude.
  • Work with other departments to achieve overall company objectives when needed.
  • Provide support on other projects as needed, and accomplish tasks as appropriately assigned or requested.
  • Share and promote best-practices throughout the organization.
  • Behave in a professional manner that always represents the Company in the highest ethical standard.
  • Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
  • Will comply with all Lactalis American Group policies including compliance as explained by Legal and Human Resources.

Requirements

Qualified applicants will contribute the following:

Education

  • Candidate will possess or be pursuing a BA or MBA, with a specialization in marketing preferred.

Experience

  • Ideal candidate will have the following traits: open-mindedness, capacity or understand/analyze data and make fact-based recommendations, creativity, productivity, strong organizational skills and ability to work independently as well as in teams.
  • Some practical experience through educational projects, prior internships, or professional experiences desired.

Certifications and specific knowledge

  • Strong analytical skills: need to be proficient in Excel and analysis in general.
  • Concern for accuracy- must be very detail oriented.
  • Open-minded, capacity to understand/analyze/ react.
  • Strong communication, organizational skills, teamwork ability: must be able to multi-task and coordinate activities between several departments.
  • Proactivity: proactive in tasks and meeting deadlines.
  • Significant knowledge of current software systems including Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel.
  • Interest in learning about all aspects of consumer-packaged goods marketing and product development.
