We are seeking a dedicated and meticulous individual to join our team, playing a crucial role in ensuring the accurate and timely delivery of essential medications. In this dynamic position, you will be instrumental in the smooth operation of our fulfillment processes, directly contributing to patient health and satisfaction. This role offers the opportunity to apply your expertise in a fast-paced environment, where your attention to detail and commitment to service will directly impact patient outcomes.

**Key Responsibilities:**



  • Process prescription exceptions, including resolving claim rejects and conducting member and physician outreach.
  • Enter member demographics and prescription information into the data processing system.
  • Research and resolve rejected insurance billing issues and/or escalated member issues.
  • Escalate questions regarding prescriptions to a Pharmacist for interpretation or direction on processing.
  • Assist with inbound and/or outbound patient or physician calls.
  • Process new patient registration by entering data into the appropriate system.
  • Handle patient prescription requests within HIPAA guidelines and enter refill orders for processing.
  • Troubleshoot to obtain missing prescription information and interpret medical abbreviations (SIG codes).
  • Resolve all data entry-related exceptions.
  • Operate automated machinery, sort medications, and transition inventory through different workflow stages with a focus on quality control.
  • Count and fill prescriptions, affix labels, and prepare packages for shipment.
  • Clean and help maintain machinery, ensuring an orderly work area.
  • Resolve Third Party Rejects by reviewing, gathering information, making corrections, and resubmitting for processing according to individual plan requirements.
  • Provide assistance to Pharmacists, both within the facility and at other locations.
  • Identify and communicate issues to senior-level staff as appropriate.


**Required Qualifications:**



  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2-4 years of Pharmacy Technician experience.
  • Current Pharmacy Registration and Certification as required by state of operation or by a nationally recognized certification agency.
  • Basic computer skills (e.g., starting/shutting down computer, using a mouse, navigating programs, saving files, printing documents, accessing online information).
  • Basic Search Engine skills (e.g., opening a browser, typing URLs, using a search engine, bookmarking sites, navigating with back/forward/stop buttons, filling out online forms).
  • Intermediate level keyboarding skills (at least 25 WPM, touch typing, formatting documents).
  • Willing and able to perform tasks which include pushing, pulling, grasping, and lifting with or without reasonable accommodation.


**Preferred Qualifications:**



  • Experience providing customer service to internal and external customers, including meeting quality and productivity standards for services.
  • Intermediate to advanced level keyboarding skills (at least 35 WPM, touch typing, formatting documents).
  • Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English.
  • Willing and able to carry up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Willing and able to work a flexible shift.
  • 18 years of age or older.


The target hiring compensation range for this role is $17.10 to $19.00 an hour. Compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to education, relevant work experience, relevant certifications, and location.
