Boundary Surveyor

Pietrzak & Pfau Engineering is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Boundary Surveyor to join our growing engineering and surveying team. This role is responsible for performing boundary surveys and related land surveying services in support of residential, commercial, and municipal projects throughout the region.

The Boundary Surveyor will conduct fieldwork to establish property boundaries, locate existing improvements, and identify easements, rights-of-way, and encroachments. Responsibilities include researching deeds, plats, and other legal records; performing accurate field measurements using GPS, total stations, and related surveying equipment; and preparing survey maps and documentation in compliance with local, state, and professional standards. The position also involves collaborating closely with engineers, project managers, and clients to ensure survey data supports project goals and timelines.

Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of boundary law and surveying principles, along with hands-on field experience. A degree in surveying, civil engineering, or a related field is preferred, along with licensure or the ability to obtain licensure within a reasonable timeframe. Strong attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and clear communication are essential.
