Job Overview:

The Global Account Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of, and growing the book of business for, the assigned Key Account(s). The Global Key Account Manager will communicate, sell to, and build relationships with all levels of the customer organization including but not limited to personnel in the C-Suite, Executive Level, Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, and Sourcing. This role will manage large (>$10M) key Fortune 100 accounts, develop/manage a sales pipeline within these accounts, provide accurate revenue forecasts, and develop / launch a marketing strategy. The person in this role will work independently as well as collaboratively and cross-functionally while being a positive reflection of Ingersoll Rand's corporate values.

Responsibilities:


  • Lead strategic management of assigned key accounts by developing and executing aligned commercial growth plans to drive revenue within the target market

  • Serve as the primary customer liaison, proactively resolving issues through cross-functional coordination and escalation as needed

  • Facilitate VOCs, SBRs, and QBRs to drive alignment, track performance, and enable continuous improvement

  • Identify and expand new business opportunities by aligning customer needs with differentiated value propositions

  • Drive opportunity execution by mobilizing internal resources to close business and exceed customer expectations

  • Own quoting and pricing processes to ensure cost accuracy, competitive positioning, and target margin achievement

  • Lead contract negotiations in partnership with leadership and legal teams to secure optimal commercial agreements

  • Achieve or exceed annual revenue targets and strategic objectives for assigned accounts

  • Collaborate cross-functionally (engineering, quality, operations) to deliver solutions, resolve challenges, and ensure program success

  • Monitor market trends and competitive activity, providing insights to inform strategy and maintain competitive advantage

  • Represent the organization at industry events and trade shows to support brand visibility and business development

  • Mentor and support the development of team members, as applicable



Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree

  • 5+ years of account management experience with Medical Device (Cardiac, neuromodulation, cardiovascular, neovascular)

  • 5+ years of Engineering in the following categories: mechanical, biomedical, or related fields




Core Competencies:


  • Proven success managing and expanding global strategic and key accounts, with demonstrated achievement of revenue targets and long-term growth strategies

  • Deep understanding of medical device industry including design, development, manufacturing processes, clinical end markets, and regulatory requirements (FDA, ISO, GMP)

  • Strong experience in complex opportunity management, value-based selling, pricing strategy, and contract negotiation within regulated markets

  • Ability to lead and influence cross-functional teams (engineering, quality, operations, supply chain) to deliver customer-centric solutions

  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build credibility with senior and executive stakeholders

  • Strong business acumen with the ability to analyze market dynamics, identify growth opportunities, and drive data-informed decisions

  • Willingness and ability to travel domestically and internationally to support global customer engagement and business development




Preferred Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree major preferably in marketing or a technical field (e.g., engineering)

  • Medical CMO or CDMO experience

  • Proficiency in Salesforce (or similar CRM) and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with pipeline management and forecasting tools




Travel & Work Arrangements/Requirements:


  • This is a remote based position that is to be located near a major airport in the U.S.

  • About 30% travel within the United States is expected; international travel is possible as well

  • Preferred locations: Northeast (Boston/New York area); Minneapolis, MN




Pay Range:

The pay range for this role, not including incentive opportunities, is $130,000 - $170,000. The pay range takes into account a wide range of factors that include a candidate's skills; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and geographic location. Hired applicant will be eligible to receive (discretionary/nondiscretionary) annual bonuses and incentive compensation.
