POSITION GOAL:

Coordinate the CAD activities and property inspector requirements to meet business objectives.

Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • To be a driver and resource for the customer facing, end-of-line activities that make up New Flyer's CAD processes.
  • Review, plan, coordinate and execute the flow of buses through the CAD process. Including, but not limited to, scheduling with the onsite inspectors to ensure adequate coverage for business needs. Work with plant leadership on contingency plans for changes in inspection coverage / dynamics.
  • Facilitate discussions between Customer Program Managers (CPM's) and Property inspectors, to minimize disruptions for Production and Quality in the finishing plants.
  • Monitor progress throughout the week, identifying and eliminating barriers that impact sales and shipment schedules.
  • Communicate, drive and facilitate world-class relationships with onsite inspectors, reinforcing their ownership, roll and importance in making New Flyer successful.
  • Coordinate key customer concerns with the QA and Production Leadership teams, ensuring key customer concerns are baked into end of line timelines to prevent delays in the CAD process.
  • Engage in configuration audit prep, schedules, and customer experience onsite to surpass customer expectations while they are in-plant.
  • Track, update, and push for part ETA's needed for CAD and Audit buses to facilitate production resource planning.
