Description The Quality Outcomes Coordinator will assist the organization to achieve top tier quality outcomes by proactively identifying opportunities for improvement. Collaborate with improvement teams to assess systems and processes, develop and execute action plans, use data to drive change, and evaluate effectiveness of interventions. Facilitate teams, educate hospital staff, analyze and prepare data for dissemination throughout the organization, act as a catalyst for the development of state of the art, innovative solutions and be an expert to facilitate organizational change. Ensure all solutions adhere to best practice standards and comply with health care regulations. Will be an expert in and mentor staff on improvement science techniques.
Qualifications Minimum Education
Bachelor's Degree Health related field (Required)
Master's Degree .

Minimum Work Experience
2 years Performance improvement experience in a hospital setting and three years clinical experience, preferably pediatrics (RN, RT, PT, OT, Medical Technologist, etc). (Required)

Required Skills/Knowledge
Proficient in MS Office Suite.
Excellent interpersonal relationship skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Knowledge of and the ability to apply improvement science concepts to health care issues.
Able to facilitate improvement teams and manage data.
Excellent presentation skills.

Functional Accountabilities
Program Improvement Assessment
  • Identify PI science knowledge deficits within the organization and improvement teams.
  • Develop educational tools to eliminate the knowledge deficit.
  • Develop and execute education plans.
  • Assess effectiveness of education.
Program Improvement Application
  • Use PI tools to complete systematic analysis of processes and systems and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Facilitate system and process redesign and design testing; evaluate redesign effectiveness and redesign, as needed.
  • Analyze data and use data to drive change.
  • Maintain data integrity.
  • Use state of the art data analysis techniques to ensure accurate analysis.
  • Present data in meaningful and actionable ways.
Facilitate
  • Partner and collaborate with hospital staff to improve quality .
  • Identify and execute strategies to build and strengthen a quality culture within the organization.
  • Coach and motivate teams to successfully execute change.
  • Ensure executed changes comply with best practice standards and applicable regulations.
  • Facilitate innovation.
  • Consult with teams and individual staff members as requested.
Leadership
  • Build functional and successful relationships with organizational departments, staff and external resources.
  • Assist teams in setting and achieving best practice and standards.
  • Demonstrate effective conflict management.
  • Assist the organization to adopt cutting edge PI practice into individual PI competencies.
