Description Content Video Editor/ Designer Job Intro We're looking for a Content Video Editor to join the internal creative studio of a global technology company that builds social platforms and virtualreality tools that help people connect and share experiences online. This role is responsible for supporting content creation efforts on hundreds of projects. The ideal candidate is highly creative and organized, prioritizes attention to detail, thrives in a multi-tasking, deadline-driven environment, and most importantly, has a demonstrated ability of designing and editing short-form video content and still assets for social media channels across various platforms. Responsibilities: Edit short-form video projects for social media channels Design and execute dynamic still graphics and text-based content optimized for engagement Format video files for all social app surfaces (Facebook and Instagram Reels, Story, and Feed content) and other social media platforms Adhere to technical standards and specs Select music and work with Production Managers to license audio for video features Collaborate with Creative Producers to inform briefs and shot lists Apply subtitles to videos and work with copy editors to ensure accurate subtitles are applied to all video content Apply basic graphic elements to videos Ability to complete projects with quick turnaround times while ensuring high technical quality assurance for all project details start to finish QA content prior to final delivery Maintain organized documentation of workflow, toolkits and assets Manage media files and archive of completed works Skill Requirements: 7+ years of creative video editing experience, including pre-production planning, file management, post-production editing, and motion graphics Expert with Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects Experience applying After Effects compositions and templates to Premiere Pro projects Experience working with multiple types of video formats including mobile video, DSLR footage, and cinema-grade video Basic audio and sound mixing knowledge Proficient in color correction for all video types Experience in formatting and troubleshooting video assets for Instagram, Facebook, Threads, and Twitter surfaces Experience in editing across multiple mediums: documentaries, short-form, narrative, music videos Proven ability to navigate complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and frequent revisions, remaining effective and positive amidst shifting priorities Able to build working relationships with core and cross-functional teams Able to work and thrive in a self-starter, fast-paced and changing environment Communicate and uphold brand visual standards Demonstrated ability to maintain focus and high quality across varying project paces, from fast-turnaround deadlines to more extended, in-depth projects Proficient with Photoshop and Lightroom Familiarity with and a proactive approach to leveraging generative AI tools in the content creation and editing workflow Preferred Qualifications: Experience with third-party tools such as Iconik, Asana, Rev, Topaz, and EddieAI Skills Visual design, Art director, Design, Sketch, Digital, Visual, Brand design, social media, Copywriting, Editing, Content creation, Writing skills, Content writing, Marketing communications, motion graphics, motion design, video editing, video content, social media platforms Top Skills Details Visual design,Art director,Design,Sketch,Digital,Visual,Brand design,social media,Copywriting,Editing,Content creation,Writing skills,Content writing,Marketing communications Additional Skills & Qualifications - Working on social content/being very well versed in what is trending on social platforms like Facebook, IG, Tiktok, etc. Experience Level Intermediate Level Job Type & LocationThis is a Contract position based out of Menlo Park, CA. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $65.00 - $90.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
