POSITION SUMMARY
The Innovation and Instructional Design team at Unifi is seeking an accomplished Instructional
Designer. The Instructional Designer will design and develop highly interactive and engaging learning content in alignment with organizational goals and training needs. The individual must thrive under tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment that demands attention to detail, creativity, and consistency, providing support to the marketing, coordination, and execution of training. This position is part of the Learning and Development department and reports directly to the Department Director.

PRINCIPLE DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Create complex, high-quality, and innovative instructional materials and learning solutions
• Collaborate with SME to develop course content.
• Write content scripts, storyboards, practice exercises video/audio scripts, assessments, participants and facilitator guides.
• Develop new and update existing print and interactive, web-based multimedia training content, incorporating various media technologies into web-based training materials.
• Develop/input graphics, audio, animations, video, and interactions into training content and marketing purposes for Operational training.
• Perform quality control including evaluating, testing, and editing deliverables after they are drafted or completed. Strong attention to detail a must.
• Adhere to designated training materials development standards, guidelines, and style guides set forth by Unifi.
• Troubleshoot technical delivery issues across multiple platforms and devices (SCORM/LMS, Tin Can (xAPI) web-delivery).
• This position will also provide technical and operational support for Unifi's learning platform.
• Experience with LMS operation and maintenance is a plus:
• Provide end-user troubleshooting, issue remediation, technology request assistance and escalation management.
• Monitor reoccurring issues, and proactively identify potential sources of increased efficiency and enhancements.
• Balance multiple priorities and tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment with minimal
  supervision.
• Must have the ability to work both in a team environment and independently to meet
  project schedules.
• This position will also require traveling for the purposes of data/asset gathering, during training campaigns and in person meetings. Possible percentage of travel over the course of a year could be up to 60%.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS

• Online portfolio
• Practical knowledge and experience using Instructional Systems Design (ISD) methodologies required.
  2+ years of experience in ID skills: needs analysis, writing terminal/enabling learning objectives,
• SME interviewing skills, storyboarding, prototyping, content development, QA, writing participant/facilitation guides, implementation/facilitation, job aids.
• Ability to structure meaningful and measurable terminal and enabling learning objectives.
• Demonstrated experience and certification with authoring and graphic design tools such as Storyline, Canva, Articulate (Storyline & Rise 360), Illustrator, Photoshop
  Knowledge of adult learning principles and training development.
• Ability to design post-training support and to measure and evaluate training outcomes.
• Good knowledge of design principles, patterns, and latest design trends with a strong eye for web typography, color, and layout.
• Aviation knowledge a plus.
• Understanding of eLearning standards including SCORM, AICC, and xAPI
• Ability to problem-solving in the face of ambiguity, work autonomously, and multi-task
• Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization and with different levels of technological understanding
