Position Summary

The Drafter prepares clear, complete and accurate working plans and detail drawings from rough or detailed sketches and notes. This role is responsible for engineered mechanical drawings, bill of materials and instruction sheets to be used in all aspects of development and manufacturing, using both computer based and manual drafting tools

Job Responsibilities



  • Makes final sketch of proposed drawing, checking dimension of parts, materials to be used, relation of one part to another, and relation of various parts to whole structure or project.
  • Utilizes knowledge of various machines, engineering practices, mathematics, building materials, and other physical sciences to complete drawings.
  • Makes any adjustments or changes necessary or desired.
  • Produces engineered drawings and instruction sheets.
  • Builds and maintains bills of materials on drawing and in ERP system.
  • Assists with creating and engineering of solution.
  • Draws finished designs from sketches.
  • Additional duties as assigned.



Qualifications/ Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree in Art or related field
  • 3+ years of previous drafting experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Occasional travel either locally, nationally, and/or internationally may be required.
  • High degree of proficiency MS Office Suite, Outlook & Internet applications
  • Strong analytical, prioritizing, interpersonal, problem-solving, presentation, budgeting, project management (from conception to completion), & planning skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills (including analysis, interpretation, & reasoning)
  • Solid understanding and application of mathematical concepts
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, as well as, internal and external clients
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work with and influence peers and senior management
  • Self-motivated with critical attention to detail, deadlines and reporting
  • Ability to work overtime as necessary



Physical Aspects/ Work Environment



  • Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and talk, hear and see.
  • Occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $20 USD - $25 USD hourly. Ultimately, in determining pay, we will consider the successful candidate's location, experience, and other job-related factors.
