Job Title: Medical Biller/Collector (Collector & Supervisor Roles) Location with zip code: Irwindale, CA - 91706 Duration: 6 Months + Payrate : $22/hr. - $30/hr. on W2 without benefits. Shift Timing: 1st Note: Billing, collections, follow-up, and appeals for Medicare and Medi-Cal. Knowledge of NMDP, ADR, and CMS guidelines, along with credit resolution. Do you have any experience with payer portals and EPIC system? How many years of supervisor or management experience do you have(For Supervisor roles)? Must have experience in professional billing, collections, and payer guidelines is required. Job Description: Collects and recovers payments from patients and insurance companies for delinquent hospital/medical accounts. Initiates outbound calls to secure payments or arrange settlement plans. Experience in professional billing, collections, and payer guidelines is required. Prior experience with Medi-Cal and Medicare (minimum 3 years preferred). Familiarity with payer portals and EPIC system is a plus. Leadership experience (for senior candidates) includes coaching, mentoring, and managing a team of 5-10 members, along with AR tracking/trending. For senior-level candidates: supervises billing/collection staff, provides coaching and mentoring, and monitors team performance and AR metrics. Communicates with payers including commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid to resolve issues and obtain necessary information. Works with patients/customers to establish payment solutions. Ensures billing is complete and accurate. Qualifications and Experience: 3-5 years of experience in medical billing/collections (required) 5+ years of overall experience with 3-5 years in leadership (for supervisor-level candidates) Minimum Education: HS diploma or equivalent.
