Child Life Assistant, Days

The Child Life Assistant provides patients and families orientation to child life services and developmentally appropriate play at the bedside and in playroom, works closely with the child life specialist to assess play, implement and evaluate the play and activity programming for patients, supervises the work of volunteers, assists with special event programming, and coordinates and implements car seat safety checks.

Required:

• No certifications required. Norton Healthcare will train this employee to earn car seat safety certification.

Desired:

• One year experience working with children in school or daycare setting.
• Two years of college level course work or an Associate degree in child development, human development, early childhood education or related field.
