ServiceNow Senior Administrator

Location: Hybrid within Service Area States with Periodic Travel Required

Your role in our success:

The ServiceNow Senior Administrator is responsible for the overall administration, advanced configuration, stability, and continuous improvement of the ServiceNow platform. This role acts as a technical platform owner, ensuring ServiceNow aligns with business processes, governance standards, and enterprise architecture. The Senior Administrator partners closely with IT, process owners, integrators, and vendors to deliver scalable, secure, and high quality ServiceNow solutions across multiple modules. This position goes beyond day-to-day administration and includes platform design decisions, automation strategy, and release management.

What you'll be working on:

Platform Ownership & Advanced Administration



  • Own the endtoend administration of the ServiceNow platform, including core configuration, system properties, plugins, and upgrades.
  • Lead advanced system configuration activities, including core platform settings, module configuration, and controlled customization.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex ServiceNow platform issues and configuration challenges.


User, Role, and Access Governance



  • Oversee user, group, and role management with a strong focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Define and enforce rolebased access models and governance standards across the platform.
  • Review and approve access and configuration changes to ensure platform integrity.


Workflow Automation & Process Enablement



  • Design, implement, and optimize workflows and automation to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual effort.
  • Partner with process owners to translate business requirements into scalable ServiceNow solutions.
  • Drive continuous improvement of ITSM and other ServiceNowsupported processes through automation.


Reporting, Analytics & Insights



  • Lead the creation and maintenance of advanced reports and dashboards to support operational visibility and decisionmaking.
  • Ensure reporting data accuracy and consistency across ServiceNow modules.
  • Enable stakeholders to effectively consume and interpret ServiceNow metrics.
  • Contribute to administrator training, documentation, and knowledge transfer to ensure longterm platform sustainability.
  • Establish and maintain configuration standards, administration guidelines, and platform best practices.


Who you are:



  • Bachelor's degree in information systems, computer science, or related field.
  • Strong expertise in ServiceNow platform components (workflows, Flow Designer, scripts, ACLs, update sets).
  • Solid understanding of ITSM processes and enterprise service management concepts.
  • Experience administering or configuring the ServiceNow platform, with handson focus on CMDB / Configuration Management.
  • Experience supporting multiple environments and coordinating platform releases.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills.
  • 7+ years of handson experience administering and configuring the ServiceNow platform in an enterprise environment.
  • Master's Degree is a plus.
  • Experience supporting ServiceNow implementations, upgrades, or enterprise rollouts.
  • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) preferred.
  • Experience acting as a technical lead or platform owner for ServiceNow preferred.
