Here's what it takes to succeed with us.

• 2+ years of production planning and scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment
• Bachelor's degree (Engineering or related field preferred) or equivalent experience
• Experience with ERP/MRP systems (SAP required) and strong Microsoft Excel skills (advanced functions/macros preferred)
• Solid understanding of capacity planning, materials planning, and production workflows
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to manage changing priorities
• Effective communication and collaboration skills across multiple departments
• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Self-motivated, solutions-driven mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
• Familiarity with APICS principles or certification preferred; industry experience (e.g., valves) a plus
• Ability to work in a manufacturing environment, including exposure to noise, heat, and dust, with required PPE
• Capable of standing, walking, and occasionally lifting up to 25 lbs

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and adjust production schedules based on forecasts, backlog, capacity, and resource availability to meet delivery and revenue targets
• Sequence and release daily production orders, ensuring optimal workflow, load balancing, and efficient use of equipment and labor
• Monitor production progress, proactively resolve delays, and implement schedule changes while addressing root causes of disruptions
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Production, Supply Chain, Customer Service, and Leadership to meet KPIs such as on-time delivery, service levels, and lead times
• Analyze capacity, material availability, and demand to identify bottlenecks and implement solutions that improve throughput and reduce inventory
• Maintain accurate planning data in ERP/MRP systems, ensuring alignment between supply and demand requirements
• Provide order status updates and remove obstacles impacting production performance and customer commitments
• Support continuous improvement by developing scheduling best practices, streamlining processes, and mitigating operational risks
• Track job progress end-to-end and adjust labor, overtime, or outsourcing strategies as needed to maintain schedule adherence
• Participate in planning cycles (daily, weekly, monthly) to stabilize operations and improve forecast accuracy
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and maintain awareness of shop floor conditions
