  • Welding Engineering

    • Responsibility for the following:

      • Manage all welding procedure qualifications from start to finish (includes reviewing requirements, developing quotes, designing qualification plans and monitoring welding). This will be both for new work and to improve old practices as required by management.
      • Recognized as the SME for technical welding support to all departments.
      • Learn and understand manufacturing processes and procedures at ETW with a view to improving efficiencies and throughput.
      • Develop, qualify and maintain welder qualifications and continuity including monitoring welding, witnessing testing, developing procedures for qualification, improving testing and training practices to ensure all welders are at the highest level possible.
      • Develop processes, procedures and practices for new projects. Examples are pipe cladding, SAW Cladding, combination fabrication welding and cladding, Hard Facing, etc.
      • Manage R&D projects both for ETW and EGI group efforts on product development.
      • Assist in root cause and project discussions as required providing technical input.






  • Technical Sales Support

    • Learn all aspects of our quoting/estimating process to understand the internal practices for estimating.
    • Work with the estimating team to develop new strategies for quoting and securing new work from a technical perspective. High focus on developing estimating strategies for new process development (SAW, PTAW, Pipe Cladding, Hard Facing, etc).
    • Ensure quoting practices are accurate and comply with industry standards and verify this accuracy by reviewing/analyzing jobs in comparison to what was quoted.
    • Manage non-standard customer projects through initial inquiry to completion providing support in fixture design, outside service management and purchase order creation.








      • General Business Support

        • Provide support as a backup to other roles internally at ETW as business conditions require.
        • Provide back up support to the estimating department for all estimating requirements. This can be as a fill in or during high quote volume times to ensure timely response to all quote requests.
        • Project Management will be required as needed to ensure timely transition with outside vendors and to meet customer requirements and delivery dates.
