*Overview* Ameritas is seeking three detail-oriented Insurance Processing Specialists to join their collaborative and high-performing Insurance Processing team. These long-term contract roles are fully onsite and support critical back-office functions, including compliance reviews, licensing validation, data entry, and commission processing within the New Business and Dental Select programs.
This is a production-oriented, deadline-driven environment ideal for candidates with strong organizational skills, accuracy, and the ability to juggle multiple priorities. *Key Responsibilities* * Process and review licensing, appointing, terminations, an investigation documentation for brokers, sales representatives, and internal associates. * Evaluate and ensure compliance with State Insurance Department regulations. * Review agent licensing and appointment status to ensure accuracy of work performed and commissions paid. * Process agent record changes promptly and accurately. * Process and maintain commission agreements within internal systems (GMR). * Follow up on incomplete or missing documentation. * Handle electronic fund transfers of commissions. * Manage and prioritize multiple request types received via email. * Perform high-volume, high-accuracy data entry impacting agent commissions. * Meet monthly commission processing deadlines and production goals. * Participate in ongoing quality checks-1 out of every 6 work items is audited for QA. * Make 12-15 internal phone calls per day for follow-up or clarification (no customer interaction). *Required Qualifications* * High School Diploma or equivalent * 1+ year of data entry or processing experience * Basic proficiency with Microsoft Excel * High attention to detail and accuracy * 1+ year of previous office experience * Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities *Preferred Qualifications* * Prior experience in insurance licensing, compliance, or commission processing * Customer service experience with strong written and verbal communication skills *Work Environment* * 100% onsite at Ameritas' Lincoln office with a collaborative team of 13. * Supportive, team-focused culture with direct access to peers and trainers. * Heavy volume from October-February during peak season. * No customer-facing work; this is a back-office production role. * Potential to move to hybrid schedule if hired on full-time with Ameritas in the future. *Training & Expectations* * Training lasts approximately 6 weeks with a set start time (likely 8am). * Trainees will have progressive production goals and quality expectations. * Trainers focus heavily on accuracy, compliance understanding, and system proficiency. *Why This Role Matters* Ameritas is implementing a new internal computer system, and the team requires additional support to handle increased licensing workload and ensure timely, accurate processing. The work completed by this team directly affects agent commissions, compliance standing, and overall operational efficiency. *Job Type & Location*This is a Contract position based out of Lincoln, NE. *Pay and Benefits*The pay range for this position is $19.50 - $19.50/hr.
