Job DescriptionThe Talent Acquisition Recruiter supports staff and faculty hiring across assigned departments or campus locations at Texas State Technical College (TSTC). This role manages most of the recruiting cycle independently-from posting jobs and screening candidates to coordinating interviews and delivering offers. The recruiter works closely with hiring managers and HR Business Partners (HRBPs) to meet staffing needs, maintain accurate candidate records in Workday, and ensure a positive experience for all applicants. This role also participates in job fairs and supports broader outreach and recruiting efforts across the state. Essential FunctionsThe employee will demonstrate TSTC's Core Values of Excellence, Accountability, Service, and Integrity with internal and external stakeholders, customers, students, and community members. Full-Cycle Recruiting Systems and Reporting Sourcing and Outreach Campus and HR Collaboration Compliance and Process Support Minimum Qualifications 4-6 years of experience in recruiting, HR, or a related field. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting hiring in a multi-campus, public sector, or education environment. Experience in skilled trades recruitment (E.G. Welders, Plumbers, HVAC, Electricians) Candidate sourcing / headhunting in LinkedIn and Indeed etc. Texas State Technical College recognizes that formal education is one of many pathways to readiness. Applicants who do not meet the stated degree requirements but present a combination of directly related experience, training, and industry credentials will be considered. Core CompetenciesFull-Cycle Recruiting Manages all stages of the hiring process with consistency, from posting to offer, ensuring accuracy and follow-through at each step. Hiring Manager Support Builds strong working relationships with hiring teams by offering timely updates, clear communication, and practical solutions. System Proficiency Maintains accurate and up-to-date candidate and requisition data in Workday or similar applicant tracking systems; uses tools efficiently. Candidate Experience Communicates with candidates in a respectful, timely, and transparent way to create a positive hiring experience. Time Management Organizes tasks effectively, meets deadlines, and balances multiple requisitions without sacrificing quality. Sourcing Skills Actively finds talent through job boards, referrals, events, and community partnerships; adapts sourcing based on position needs. Team Collaboration Works well with teammates by sharing knowledge, offering support, and contributing to shared recruiting goals. Community Outreach Represents TSTC at events and builds local partnerships that help connect talent with opportunities.
