Job Summary: The Program Manager will develop and lead the delivery of medium-to-large-scope program initiatives of moderate complexity. Ensures that a comprehensive program plan and associated budget is developed and maintained to track deliverables and progress toward completion on time and within budget. Utilizes company/industry project management methodologies and tools throughout project lifecycle. Once developed, incumbents in this position will work with stakeholders to structure, influence, and guide short and long-term growth plans, strategies and schedules. She/he will drive architecture of the solution, delivery of measurable results and provide customers from project proposal to installation to ongoing upgrades and maintenance with a sound customer experience strategy. Responsible for the technical performance, schedule and budgets of assigned projects, driving execution, communicating needs and progressing the engineering solutions for large and critical projects and products. This position typically works under limited supervision and direction. Incumbents of this position will regularly exercise discretion and substantial decision-making authority.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Work with functional managers to secure engineering resources needed to successfully execute the program
  • Accountable for project metrics and the actions of the project team
  • Provides leadership surrounding issue identification and resolution. Acts as point of contact for escalation of project issues and resolves project conflict.
  • Interacts with seniormanagement and/or major customers which frequently involve negotiating matters of significance to the organization. Reconciles multiple stakeholder views to drive business results.
  • Develops a deep understanding of customer requirements and needs and communicates with all departments to develop customer focused solutions.
  • Tracks and drives resolution on open questions, issues and risks. Raises risks and issues to leadership on a timely basis and work with appropriate parties to create risk mitigation plans.
  • Works with all departments and internal stakeholders to understand their needs, communicate the customers' needs to ensure project accuracy and make sure projects stay on schedule.
  • Participates and advises during the initial stages of new program and/or product development efforts.
  • Coordinates and leads project level design reviews for technology and services that relate to all levels of the customer.
  • Collaborate with engineers, operations, program management, product management, and other stakeholders to execute programs effectively.
  • Builds consensus with teammates across the organization and gives clear direction during cross-functional collaboration. Motivate teammates to build trusting, cross-functional relationships.
  • Develops a high degree of trust and accountability with key internal clients and stakeholders.

Minimum Job Requirements:

  • Four-year college degree, preferably in Engineering, Business, or science-related discipline, plus 8 years experience.
  • Experience with providing technical direction and successful strategy development.
  • Ability to interpret technical contract requirements.
  • Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing, interface with customers, subcontractors and vendors, and deal with employees and managers at all levels in manufacturing, engineering and other departments.
  • Mental ability to perform engineering problem solving and analytical tasks.
  • Must be able to work under project deadline pressures, and associated cost and schedule constraints.
  • Considerable knowledge in the planning and management of all aspects of engineering design activities.
  • Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including MS Project. Strong presentation skills preferred.
  • Must be able to obtain a Security Clearance

Cubic Pay Range:

$139,000.00 - $170,000.00 + benefits.

The Cubic pay range for this job level is a general guideline only and not a guarantee of compensation or salary. Additional factors considered in extending an offer include (but are not limited to) responsibilities of the job, education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity, alignment with market data, applicable bargaining agreement (if any), or other law.
