Corporate Controller
Plymouth, Wisconsin (On-site)
You'll be responsible for accurate and timely financial reporting, strengthening internal controls, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and company policies. How You Will Contribute to our Legacy of Excellence:
- Lead the monthly and annual close processes and deliver accurate, auditable financial statements.
- Maintain GAAP-compliant reporting, policies, and internal controls.
- Oversee general ledger activity, account reconciliations, journal entries, and fixed asset accounting.
- Coordinate annual audit activities and manage interactions with external auditors.
- Prepare or review management-level reporting packages with clear variance explanations.
- Support budgeting and forecasting with historical analysis and timely financial insights.
- Partner cross-functionally to ensure data accuracy across ERP and reporting systems.
- Provide supplementary support to cost/manufacturing accounting as needed (inventory, standards, variances, etc.).
- Mentor and develop accounting team members; promote accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement.
- Perform backup functions for the Chief Financial Officer and other staff as needed.
- Prepare loan compliance covenants for review by the Chief Financial Officer.
- Perform miscellaneous projects as assigned by the Chief Financial Officer, President & CEO, or the Executive Chairman.
What You Have to Offer:
- Bachelor Degree in Accounting required; CPA or CMA preferred.
- Minimum of 7 years of progressive accounting experience required. Previous supervisory experience is required.
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting best practices.
- Experience with month-end close, consolidations, audits, and internal controls.
- Working knowledge of cost/manufacturing accounting concepts.
- Proficiency with ERP systems; system implementation or enhancement experience is a plus.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and build strong relationships with internal partners.
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and commitment to process integrity.
- Oversee or support tax-related filings including sales/use, property, and other periodic submissions.
