Position Overview:

This strategic leadership role is responsible for setting
vision, strategy, and execution for the Pre-Hospital segment, driving demand,
growth, and market leadership with a commitment to ethical practices,
sustainability, and advanced digital innovation. The Senior Manager of Pre-Hospital
Segment Marketing fosters a culture of emotional intelligence, adaptability,
and continuous learning, integrating analytics, data privacy compliance, and
workforce development to ensure the segment remains future-ready and
customer-focused. The role directly manages key marketing managers, providing
strategic direction, coaching, and performance management.

Core aspects of the role include:

  • Leading the Pre-Hospital Ambition to Action (A2A) strategy and Programmatic Marketing initiatives
  • Developing and executing campaigns, messaging, and KPIs aligned with customer needs and market insights
  • Translating market research and customer insights into actionable programs
  • Strengthening brand presence through thought leadership, events, and strategic partnerships
  • Collaborating with Product & Segement Marketing on sales enablement tools to support the sales cycle
  • Leading and developing a high-performing marketing team; partnership Marketing, GTM / Enablement Marketing and Segment Marketing

This is a high-impact
leadership role requiring strong strategic, analytical, and customer-focused
marketing capabilities.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership

  • Set and communicate the vision for Pre-Hospital segment marketing, aligning all activities with organizational values and strategic objectives
  • Lead the annual Ambition to Action (A2A) strategy and implement strategic and tactical marketing plans to drive growth, share, and profitability in the Pre-Hospital segment
  • Shape the market through deep insight, trend analysis, and strategic messaging.
  • Review and approve major campaigns, strategic plans, and messaging frameworks.
  • Ensure all segment marketing initiatives align with organizational goals, performance data, and market outlook.
  • Oversee segmentwide KPIs and achievement of orderintake and growth targets.

Programmatic Marketing & Innovation

  • Shape the market through deep insight, trend analysis, and strategic messaging.
  • Review and approve major campaigns, strategic plans, and messaging frameworks.
  • Ensure all segment marketing initiatives align with organizational goals, performance data, and market outlook.
  • Oversee segmentwide KPIs and achievement of orderintake and growth targets.
  • Develop and lead a programmatic marketing approach tailored to the Pre-Hospital segment
  • Lead the adoption of advanced digital marketing strategies, including SEO, SEM, social media, and automation
  • Stay ahead of emerging digital trends and guide the team in leveraging new platforms and technologies
  • Ensure compliance with global and regional data privacy standards.

Brand Positioning, Thought
Leadership & Market Influence

  • Strengthen Laerdal's brand through differentiated messaging, storytelling, and value propositions.
  • Build thought leadership via KOL engagement, advisory boards, SMEs, and a strong reference network.
  • Represent the Pre-Hospital segment at key industry events and external forums.
  • Plan and execute highimpact industry event strategies with strong partner and customer engagement.

Customer, Market &
Competitive Insight

  • Lead customer and market research to uncover unmet needs, behaviors, and innovation opportunities.
  • Translate insights into actionable strategies, messaging, and growth programs.
  • Conduct ongoing SWOT analyses, market reviews, and competitive landscape assessments.
  • Maintain deep industry knowledge through associations, publications, and continuous professional engagement.
  • Build thought leadership through advisory boards, KOL engagement, and strategic partnerships

Market Strategy, Planning & Business Case Development

  • Develop multiyear marketing and brand strategies that identify opportunities and challenges.
  • Build annual ProEd segment marketing plans in collaboration with internal partners.
  • Prioritize market targets using segmentation, size, profitability, and potential.
  • Develop financial projections and business cases for major initiatives.
  • Analyze customer business models and evolving market dynamics to inform planning.

CrossFunctional
Collaboration

  • Act as the internal ProEd segment champion, ensuring alignment across Sales, Product, Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Analytics.
  • Collaborate on internal tools, assets, and enablement materials to support execution.
  • Ensure consistency and accuracy of messaging, value propositions, and customer insights across all functions.

Sales & Marketing
Enablement

  • Create targeted sales tools, presentations, training materials, and collateral supporting the buyer journey.
  • Partner with Sales Training and Product Marketing to ensure field readiness and effective engagement.
  • Drive awareness and enable the sales force through datainformed, personadriven content.

Leadership of Direct Reports & Workforce Development

  • Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and performance reviews with Segment Marketing Manager - Vertical and
  • Adjacent Pre-Hospital Segments, Partnership Marketing Manager - Pre-Hospital, and GTM Enablement Marketing Manager (Channel / Dist.) - Pre-Hospital
  • Set clear goals, priorities, and expectations for each manager, ensuring alignment with segment strategy and organizational objectives
  • Provide coaching, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for direct reports
  • Identify skills gaps and create development plans for team members
  • Facilitate collaboration and knowledge sharing among the segment marketing team
  • Empower managers to lead their respective areas while ensuring alignment with segment strategy
  • Promote a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement

Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Develop and mentor a high-performing marketing team, fostering continuous learning and professional growth
  • Model and coach emotional intelligence, adaptability, and inclusive leadership across the segment marketing team
  • Track segment KPIs, campaign results, and initiative performance.
  • Conduct SWOT assessments to evaluate segment and product effectiveness.
  • Report insights and variances to leadership and adjust strategy accordingly.
  • Support annual business planning with data aligned insights and recommendations.
  • Optimize marketing activities using analytics, customer insights, and revenue/pipeline contribution.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's
    degree in marketing or a business-related field required; MBA preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of marketing experience in the Pre-Hospital segment.
  • Background
    in Pre-Hospital segment or clinical experience is a plus.
  • CRM
    experience required; Salesforce.com preferred.
  • Proven
    experience leading marketing teams and cross-functional initiatives.
  • Approximately 40% travel expectation with regular in-person engagement at the Wappingers Falls, NY office. Refer to 'Marketing - expected in person engagement to support success' pdf for current year expectations
  • Collaboration with International team members may require flexible work hours.

Salary Range: $115,000-$135,000, eligible for 12% annual bonus
