Salary:

FUCHS offers a competitive salary commensurate with experience in a similar position. The salary range for this position is $24 - $26 per hour, but actual salary will vary depending upon a new hire's experience and qualifications as well as internal equity.

Role Overview:



  • Perform cleaning, washing, and preparation of glassware, components, and manufacturing equipment to support production operations in the cleanrooms.
  • Support filtration and equipment setups, packaging setups, and material preparation activities that directly serve medical, defense, and semiconductor customers.
  • Coordinate workflow and maintain consistent communication with supervisors and crossfunctional teams to ensure timely equipment readiness and sample fulfillment
  • Prepare, label, document, and ship product samples to support internal and external needs, including fulfilling Sales customer sample requests, preparing Quality samples for external laboratory testing of finished products, and packaging R&D samples for customer evaluation.
  • Maintain overall cleanliness and housekeeping of departmental areas to ensure safe, compliant, and auditready environments.


The role will require the following responsibilities:



  • Wash and clean glassware, stainlesssteel utensils and pots, and production equipment including, but not limited to: Gaulin, aero pumps, press setups, oil canisters, and vacuum kettles.
  • Clean and maintain workstations and surrounding work areas, including cleaning of empty packaging containers and components.
  • Empty departmental waste containers daily and vacuum/wash floors weekly to maintain a clean, safe, auditready environment.
  • Retrieve sample requests using computer systems; read and interpret sample requirements to determine correct product, volume, and packaging components.
  • Prepare, label, package, document, and ship product samples, ensuring accuracy and timeliness, including Sales customer samples, Quality samples for external laboratory testing, and R&D customer evaluation samples, with the understanding that approximately 20% of the role's time will be dedicated to sample preparation and related activities.
  • Generate and prepare shipping documents for domestic, international, and hazardous materials sample shipments.
  • Maintain essential communication with supervisors, coworkers, and the Sales department to coordinate workflow and ensure timely fulfillment of both production and sample-related activities.
  • Operate within and comply with all Standard Operating Procedures (SOP), Work Instructions (WI), and Safety Work Instructions (SWI).
  • Conform to and respect all company safety regulations and policies.
  • Assist management in resolving assigned corrective or preventive actions in accordance with company quality systems.
  • Supports the company Energy Policy by operating equipment in an energy-efficient manner and avoiding unnecessary energy use.
  • Understand and follow verbal and written instructions in the English language.
  • Attend required company training sessions/classes, including those outlined in SOP#6.2.11.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.



Additional duties are as follows:



  • Assist shippers with FedEx and UPS orders when possible.
  • When needed, assist Maintenance with the upkeep of the facilities.
  • Assist co-workers with material handling issues
  • Responsible for responding to assigned corrective actions per the CAR system
  • Provide on-the-job training to new employees



Requirements for the role:



  • Basic reading, writing and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Some heavy lifting (up to 75-lbs.) may be required or up to employee's physical limitations
  • Hazardous Material Shipment training
