Job Description

As a Product Manager, you will lead multiple projects, workstreams and customer requests while communicating to internal and external customers. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with sales, end customers, channel partners, supply chain, operations, third-party vendors and business leadership to achieve portfolio revenue and market share growth goals. You will define and lead the execution of their product strategy in alignment with established business priorities. You will report to the Business Manager of Sensing and Connectivity. You will work Hybrid in Chelmsford, MA.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Achieve yearly revenue and profit margin goals for the assigned portfolio.
  • Build an understanding of complex problem domains and constraints relative to the product line and implement short- and long-term business plans
  • Develop marketing messages for customer presentations, trade shows, and seminars.
  • Lead the development of commercial collateral for new product launches.
  • Educate, motivate and train the global sales channel to promote and sell the responsible portfolio.
  • Manage the product life cycle for the responsible portfolio including improvements, enhancements, change notice approvals, and obsolescence consistent with business plans.
  • Lead voice of customer activities and effectively communicate needs for next-generation solutions.
  • Define new product requirements for next-generation solutions.
  • Work with third-party suppliers to define and verify new product requirements.
  • Serve as an escalation to assist with customer support and issue resolution.
  • Product life cycle management including initiation of product improvements, enhancements, approval of change notices and product obsolescence consistent with business plans
  • Understand current industry trends, changing market trends, regulatory requirements, and competitive products related to the responsible portfolio. Using this information to define the product strategy and roadmap.

The Essentials - You Will Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
  • Ability to travel, including internationally, up to 25% of time.

The Preferred - You Might Also Have:

  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities, creativity, strategic development, and finish projects on time and within budget.
  • Typically requires 2+ years of relevant experience with product marketing and a close familiarity with the tasks of product development, production, application, sales, and distribution.
  • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences and an ability to work within a team environment to achieve our goals.
  • Experience championing innovation in product line by creating both product differentiation, attachment opportunities and increasing product portfolio, while being a thought leader.
  • Previous experience with control system design, control cabinet/panel design, and implementation and commissioning of industrial control equipment.
  • Experience with Rockwell Automation products and solutions.
