A Day In The Life As part of the SAP Center of Excellence, the Sr. SAP ERP Architect will be responsible for leading the design, development, and implementation of SAP ERP solutions across the organization. This role will focus on aligning the business processes with SAP architecture to ensure seamless integration, scalability, and efficiency. The Sr. SAP ERP Architect will work closely with business stakeholders, developers, and technical teams to ensure SAP solutions support the company's operational and strategic goals. This Sr. SAP Architect will provide support for applications in both private and public cloud. This role will be responsible for day-to-day architectural support to the SAP development teams and will have on-call responsibilities for after-hours support. As a Sr SAP ERP Architect you will:
- SAP ERP Architecture Design & Strategy:
- Develop and maintain the overall architecture strategy for the organization's SAP ERP environment, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Design end-to-end SAP solutions across various modules such as FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, Warranty, VMS and ME to support operational processes.
- Collaborate with business and IT leadership to define the roadmap for SAP ERP enhancements, upgrades, and integrations.
- Systems Integration & Solution Delivery:
- Lead the integration architecture of SAP ERP with other enterprise systems such as CRM, BDC(Datasphere), BW, IBP and third-party applications.
- Oversee the delivery and implementation of SAP ERP solutions, ensuring best practices are followed for system design, data integration, and security.
- Ensure seamless data flow between SAP ERP and external systems through API management, middleware, and other integration tools.
- Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work with business stakeholders to understand business processes, gather requirements, and translate them into effective SAP solutions.
- Provide architectural guidance to SAP development teams and external consultants during the implementation process.
- Ensure effective communication between technical teams, functional experts, and business leaders.
- Provide training and mentorship to in-house teams, ensuring knowledge transfer for SAP ERP best practices.
- SAP ERP Optimization & Innovation:
- Identify opportunities for system optimization, automation, and process improvements using SAP's advanced technologies (e.g., S/4HANA, Fiori, SAP Cloud).
- Evaluate emerging SAP technologies and modules to incorporate innovative solutions that can drive business transformation and operational efficiency.
- Identify opportunities for modernization efforts of SAP S/4HANA or SAP Cloud, ensuring smooth transitions and minimal business disruption.
- Governance & Compliance:
- Establish governance frameworks and standards for SAP ERP architecture to ensure system consistency, data integrity, and compliance with corporate policies.
- Ensure that SAP ERP solutions comply with industry regulations, data security standards, and corporate policies (e.g., GDRP).
- Project Management & Leadership:
- Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for SAP ERP-related projects, providing guidance and troubleshooting for complex issues.
- Documentation & Training:
- Develop comprehensive architecture documentation, including diagrams, technical specifications, and process workflows.
What We Need From You
- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university in Computer Science, Information Technologies, or a related field and/or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- 8+ years of experience with SAP ERP systems, including architecture design, implementation, and integration. Required
- 5+ years of experience with SAP S/4HANA, RISE and/or SAP ECC Required
- Experience with cloud-based SAP solutions and hybrid cloud integration Required
- Familiarity with Enterprise Architecture frameworks (e.g., TOGAF, Zachman) is a plus.
- In-depth knowledge of SAP S/4HANA and SAP Fiori UI/UX technologies.
- Deep expertise in SAP ERP modules (e.g., FI/CO, MM, SD, PP, ME, VMS, Warranty) and architecture principles.
- Strong understanding of BW, SAP Basis administration, SAP security, integration tools (e.g., SAP PI/PO, CPI) and Cloud-based SAP solutions (e.g., SAP Cloud Platform, IBP, CPQ, Ariba).
- Strong understanding of business processes across finance, supply chain, manufacturing, and other key functions.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, vendors, and consultants in complex ERP projects.
- Adaptive personality and ability to function in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for resolving technical and functional SAP issues.
- Ability to assess new SAP solutions and emerging technologies, and their potential to transform business operations.
- A strong attention to detail combined with the ability to prioritize tasks
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of translating technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders and promoting strong relationships and team dynamics
- Strong capability to plan and align work with regards to sense of urgency and priority.
- Experience in Automotive Industry a plus.
- SAP Certification SAP Certified Application Associate, SAP Certified Technology Associate Preferred
