Contracts Administrator

We specialize in providing management and technology consulting services to support the business and technology modernization efforts of the Federal Government. ThinkTek was formed with the specific purpose of providing its clients a tailored solution around Program & Project Management, Strategic Planning, and IT Operations.

Position Summary

The Contracts Administrator supports the full lifecycle administration of U.S. Government contracts, subcontracts, and related agreements. This role is responsible for ensuring contractual compliance with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR), Defense FAR Supplement (DFARS), and company policies, while supporting program execution, business development, and customer relationships.

The ideal candidate has strong attention to detail, experience working in a government contracting environment, and the ability to manage multiple contracts and priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Contract Administration



  • Administer prime contracts, subcontracts, task orders, and modifications throughout the contract lifecycle (pre-award through closeout)
  • Review, interpret, and track contractual terms and conditions, including funding, period of performance, CLINs, and deliverables
  • Monitor contract compliance with FAR, DFARS, agency supplements, and internal policies
  • Track contract milestones, CDRLs, options, and reporting requirements


Subcontracts & Teaming



  • Support drafting, negotiation, and administration of:
  • Teaming Agreements
  • Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs)
  • Subcontract Agreements and Modifications
  • Ensure proper flow-down of prime contract requirements
  • Coordinate with subcontractors on compliance, deliverables, and invoicing matters


Modifications, Funding & Closeout



  • Process contract modifications, funding actions, and option exercises
  • Coordinate with Finance and Program Management on funding status and burn rates
  • Support contract closeout activities, including final invoicing and documentation


Coordination & Communication



  • Serve as a point of contact for internal stakeholders (Program Managers, Finance, Business Development)
  • Interface with Government Contracting Officers and Contract Specialists, as appropriate
  • Maintain organized contract files and documentation in accordance with audit requirements
  • Process Improvement & Compliance
  • Support internal audits and external Government audits
  • Assist with development and maintenance of contracts policies, procedures, and templates
  • Identify risks and escalate contractual issues as needed


Required Qualifications



  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Legal Studies, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-5+ years of experience in Government Contracts Administration
  • Working knowledge of:
  • FAR and DFARS
  • Federal contract types (FFP, T&M, LH, CPFF, etc.)
  • Prime contracts and subcontracts
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and written communication skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)


Preferred Qualifications



  • Experience supporting small or mid-size GovCon firms
  • Familiarity with:
  • IDIQ contracts and task orders
  • CDRLs and data item tracking
  • Contract closeout procedures
  • Experience with contract management systems (e.g., Unanet, GovWin, or similar)
  • Contracts certification (NCMA CPCM, CFCM, or CCAM) a plus
