Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives

Huntsman is seeking a Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives supporting the Advanced Materials Division located in Remote (Mid-west, East Coast, Gulf Coast). This position will report to the Sales Manager - Industrial.

Job Scope

The Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives is responsible for driving profitable sales growth within the Industrial Sector by managing key customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and promoting Huntsman's advanced adhesive solutions. This role combines strong sales expertise, technical learning capability, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to expand market share and support innovation growth.

In summary, as the Sales Representative - Industrial Adhesives, you will:
  • Achieve assigned revenue and margin targets within the Industrial Sector territory.

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities across targeted industrial markets.

  • Develop and execute strategic sales and account plans to expand market share.

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term customer relationships beyond standard procurement contacts.

  • Understand customer needs and provide tailored adhesive and component solutions.

  • Promote Huntsman Advanced Materials adhesive products and communicate their competitive advantages.

  • Partner with Technical & Innovation Subject Matter Experts to support new product growth through technical discussions and presentations.

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments to identify opportunities and risks.

  • Provide customer and market feedback to marketing and product development teams.

  • Collaborate with product management, manufacturing sites, and marketing to align growth focus with product lines and capacity.

  • Prepare accurate sales forecasts, reports, and pipeline updates.

  • Work closely with internal teams such as technical support and customer service to ensure customer satisfaction.

  • Address and resolve customer concerns related to products or services.

Qualifications

You must possess the below minimum qualifications to be initially considered for this position. Preferred qualifications are in addition to the minimum requirements and are considered a plus factor in identifying top candidates.

The candidate must have an unrestricted right to work for Huntsman in the United States.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.

  • Minimum of 5+ years of sales experience, preferably within the adhesives industry or a related industrial market.

  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales and margin targets.

  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively within the Americas (40% - 70%).

Skills and Knowledge
  • Strong business acumen with the ability to manage and grow complex accounts.

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to learn technical concepts quickly and develop competency in epoxy adhesives and applications.

  • Self-motivated, independent, and results-driven with strong time management skills.

  • Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.

  • Customer-focused approach with strong problem-solving capabilities.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Advanced degree or relevant certifications.

  • Prior experience selling epoxy adhesives or advanced material solutions.

  • Established network within industrial or manufacturing sectors.

  • Experience working in remote, territory-based sales roles.

Working Environment
  • Remote-based role with extensive travel across the assigned territory.

  • Frequent customer visits, meetings, and on-site technical discussions.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining strong virtual collaboration with internal teams.
