As a Security Officer - Chemical Site Monitor - Weekdays in Long Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence that helps to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and visitor screening. You will document observations, communicate clearly with site teams, and respond to alarms and requests for assistance. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a chemical and/or petrochemical environment.
• Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating notifications to site contacts and/or public emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, tank farms, loading docks, parking areas, and perimeter lines to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Control access at designated entry points by checking identification, logging visitors and/or contractors, issuing badges as directed, and monitoring vehicle traffic for compliance with site requirements.
• Complete detailed reports, logs, and incident documentation, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and site management to support timely follow-up actions.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
