As a Security Guard - Overnight Healthcare Patrol - Weekdays in Laguna Beach, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. You will complete routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, assist staff, patients, and visitors with directions and access questions, and document observations with clear reports. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and staff by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and healthcare location requirements, including access control and visitor management.
  • Respond to incidents, disruptive behavior, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site leadership and local emergency services when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, corridors, parking areas, and the perimeter, helping to deter unauthorized activity and identifying potential hazards or maintenance concerns.
  • Monitor alarms, surveillance systems, and security-related equipment as assigned, documenting observations and reporting irregular activity according to post orders.
  • Complete detailed reports of patrol activity, incidents, and policy violations, and assist with patient transports and other non-clinical escorts when directed by site procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have 1+ years of security experience.
  • Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Being comfortable using a computer and/or tablet is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
