Job Description As a High Performance Organization (HPO) Lead, you help shape how your teams work and win. As a strategic change leader, you'll guide people, processes, and technology toward higher levels of efficiency, quality, and predictability. You will empower teams to collaborate more effectively, adopt modern ways of working, make datadriven decisions, and improve. This role is ideal for someone who excels at influencing across a global organization, simplifying complex challenges, and helping others. You will report directly to the Director, PMO, Business Operations and HPO. You will work Hybrid at one of Rockwell office locations at Milwaukee, Mequon, WI or Eden Prairie, MN or Chelmsford, MA or Kitchener, ON Canada.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lean Portfolio Management Leadership
- Facilitate LPM ceremonies: Portfolio Sync (monthly), Strategic Portfolio Review (quarterly), and Participatory Budgeting.
- Establish and maintain governance, schedule, standards, and structure for all LPM ceremonies.
- Advance LPM maturity by improving portfolio flow, tooling consistency, visibility, and decision-making speed.
- Partner with global and enterprise teams to adopt standardized portfolio management processes, methodologies, and tools.
- Ensure agreement between Motion's portfolio priorities, resource allocation, and strategic goals.
- Communicate decisions, changes, risks, and outcomes across all partner groups.
- Continuous Improvement & Change Leadership
- Execute the annual Lean Strategy Deployment process for Motion.
- Partner with crossfunctional leaders to create Breakthrough Objectives (BTOs).
- Convert BTOs into aligned annual priorities and integrate all projects into a unified action plan.
- Lead disciplined monthly performance reviews ensuring accountability and learning.
- Standardize, simplify, and globally replicate business processes to optimize performance.
- Develop clear change and communication plans for organizational transitions.
- Manage surveys, readiness assessments, and feedback loops.
- Create communication materials, leadership briefs, and updates.
- AIDriven Automation & Decision Enablement
- Identify opportunities to implement and improve workflows by using AIdriven automation to enhance productivity, predictability, and proactive decisionmaking.
- Partner with digital/IT and analytics teams to align AI capabilities to our needs.
- Use AI tools to reduce manual effort and strengthen visibility of our strategy.
- Metrics, Governance & Operational Excellence
- Lead the acquisition, reliability, and analysis of performance data including rootcause insights.
- Support adoption of enterprise-wide resource management strategies and tools.
- Monitor performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
- Create mitigations for underperforming metrics and remove systemic barriers.
- Advocate for Motion's needs to the enterprise HPO team.
- CrossFunctional Partner Enablement & Training
- Align engineering, PMO, product management, and BU leadership around HPO strategies.
- Provide onboarding for teams adopting new tools and methods.
- Ensure usage of portfolio and resource management tools.
- Build relationships with enterprise HPO, ITD, and global partners.
- Identify needs and ensure adoption of tools, methods, and software that accelerate our goals.
The Essentials - You Will Have:
- Bachelor's Degree in Relevant Field
- We require legal authorization to work in the US. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- The ability to travel up to 15% of the time.
The Preferred - You Might Also Have:
- Typically requires a minimum 5+ Years of related experience.
- Bachelor of Science degree in an Engineering discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Project Management certificate or PMP certification.
- Experience with or certification in one or more Agile methodologies, e.g. certified scrum master
- Experience planning projects with Project applications (i.e. Microsoft Project, Powerpoint and Word )
- Experience with Atlassian suite of applications: Jira, Jira Align and Confluence
- Experience in Lean Strategy Deployment, LPM, and Continuous Improvement.
- Facilitation skills for portfolio and executive-level discussions.
- Experience leading organizational change.
- Experience leading global, programs.
