Security Guard - Full Time Morning

As a Security Guard - Mobile Patrol in Christiansburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer at a retail and mall location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will greet shoppers and staff, respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and guests in a retail location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols of sales floors, stock areas, entrances, and parking areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance and lighting concerns.
• Monitor access points and observe customer and employee activity for unusual behavior, potential theft indicators, and policy violations, escalating concerns per post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including disputes, medical situations, and alarms, while coordinating with store leadership and/or local first responders as needed.
• Complete detailed reports and logs of patrols, incidents, and customer service contacts, and communicate key updates to Allied Universal supervision and site management.

Minimum Requirements:

• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Having a guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Having customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
