As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver - Gate Entry in Joliet, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, you will welcome employees and visitors, verify credentials, manage badge access, and document activity with clear communication. You will stay visible at key entry points and help to deter security-related incidents through consistent screening and customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a chemical and/or petrochemical location.
• Control access at designated entry points by verifying identification, issuing and collecting badges, processing visitor and contractor check-in and/or check-out, and maintaining accurate logs.
• Monitor alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems, and report unusual activity, policy violations, and/or maintenance concerns according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications, assisting with site evacuations as directed, and completing clear incident documentation.
• Conduct periodic inspections of gates, fencing, and exterior areas near access points to help to deter unauthorized entry, and coordinate with site personnel regarding deliveries, vehicle screening, and/or restricted-area access.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
