As a Security Officer - Unarmed Foot Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a government location, supporting a busy public transportation environment. You will conduct routine foot patrols, stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and the public. You will document observations, respond to concerns, and work as part of a team that values agility, reliability, innovation, a caring culture, and integrity. New York State Security Guard License required.

What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to passengers, employees, and visitors by following site-specific procedures and government facility policies and/or directives, and by supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, requesting additional assistance and/or public services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout transit stations, platforms, mezzanines, stairways, and surrounding perimeter areas to help to deter unwanted activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Control access to restricted areas by checking credentials, monitoring entry points, and maintaining sign-in and/or visitor documentation in accordance with site requirements.
• Complete detailed reports and logs for patrol activity, incidents, and observations, and communicate security-related information to site leadership and/or Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements:

• Possess a New York State Security Guard License.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
