Job Description




As a Security Officer - Medical Campus Rounds in Los Angeles, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help discourage security-related incidents, and support staff, patients, and visitors with clear communication and customer service. You will respond to calls for assistance, document observations, and work as part of a team that is agile, reliable, innovative, and guided by integrity with a caring, people-first culture.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a healthcare location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including assisting with de-escalation, reporting, and coordinating with nursing staff, administration, and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior corridors, entrances, waiting areas, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access by observing and verifying authorized entry, monitoring visitor flow, and directing individuals to appropriate check-in points and/or departments in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete accurate daily activity logs and incident reports, communicate security-related observations to site leadership, and operate radios and/or other communication devices as required.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have at least 2+ years of security-related experience.
  • Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
  • Be 21+ years of age.
  • Have 2+ years' service in a healthcare/medical-related field.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
