As a Security Officer - Mobile Patrol Unit in Summit, NJ, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Commercial Real Estate, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal at a commercial real estate location, you will conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help discourage security-related issues, and support access control and badging. You will observe and report activity, assist tenants and visitors with a customer-first approach, and communicate clearly with site contacts. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to tenants, visitors, and property staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a commercial real estate location.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior and exterior areas including lobbies, corridors, stairwells, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter points to help to deter unwanted activity and identify maintenance or access concerns.
• Monitor access points and respond to access control issues, alarms, and service requests, documenting observations and incidents according to site requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, providing clear direction to occupants and coordinating notifications to property management and/or emergency services as needed.
• Complete required reports such as shift activity logs, incident reports, and patrol documentation, and communicate pertinent information during shift handoff to support continuity of operations.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have 1+ years of security experience.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
