Job Description
We are currently seeking a Shuttle & Asset Manager -- Logistics who will be responsible for the management, visibility, utilization, and performance oversight of company-owned and leased logistics assets. This role ensures assets and shuttle networks are efficiently utilized, accurately tracked, cost-effective, and DOT compliant across all facilities while supporting our internal customers at Westrock Coffee (MFG and Warehouse Operations). This position is a shared services position for multiple sites for Westrock Coffee.


Job Duties:


Shuttle Operations Management:


  • Manage company-wide, multi-site shuttle operations including scheduling, routing, as well as working with the Director of Freight Logistics on capacity planning, and performance optimization for both Company and Contract Shuttle Operations.
  • Develop and enforce standardized shuttle operating procedures.
  • Coordinate with Logistics Specialist, Plant, Warehouse, and Procurement teams for transfer and tendering of inbound supply of transfer lanes.
  • Monitor shuttle KPIs including on-time performance, dwell time, cost per move, and utilization. Assist shuttle team when needed.


Logistics Asset Management:


  • Oversee tracking, utilization, condition, and availability of logistics assets.
  • Maintain accurate asset visibility using YMS and telematics while also being the bridge with Procurement for Trucks, Trailers, and MHE to maintain the oversight of all Logistics assets and financials in SharePoint.
  • Establish utilization benchmarks and reduce idle assets.
  • Lead asset audits and reconciliation.
  • Coordinate maintenance, inspections, and compliance.


Systems & Visibility:


  • Act as a business owner for the PINC YMS sharing administration responsibilities/synergies with the Logistics Supply Chain Technology Manager and team.
  • Partner with Logistics Specialist on maintenance of ELD system for compliance along with maintenance of inbound data logs in SharePoint drive.


Financial & Strategic Support:


  • Identify cost-reduction opportunities/ideas in Shuttle Operations and Assets.
  • Freight & Logistics invoice audit support/approval
  • Support logistics network planning initiatives.


Compliance & Safety:


  • Ensure compliance with DOT, FMCSA, OSHA, and Westrock company policy.
  • Develop yard safety protocols.
  • Support audits and investigations.


Leadership & Collaboration:


  • Serve as cross-functional liaison for shuttle services with MFG, Procurement, and Warehouse.
  • Train site teams in PINC.
  • Lead change management initiatives and provide opportunity to employees for development (ex: shuttle lead).

Qualification
Qualifications:


  • Minimum 2 years College with work experience leading a shuttle/transportation team.
  • Soft skills and a steward leader with a focus on the team feeling heard, valued, and connected.
  • CDL's with at least 3 years driving experience
  • Experience with emphasis on Team building, staffing, organizing, motivating, supervising and cross-functional communicating.
  • Must be familiar with YMS & ELD systems.
  • Must be PC literate and have a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, SharePoint and PowerPoint.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written), and time management skills.
  • Ability to work independently in a multi-task environment.
  • Ability to travel to other Westrock sites when needed.
