Job Description




As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver in Owensville, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Utilities, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a utilities location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, complete routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will provide strong customer service and clear communication while documenting observations and responding to concerns. This is a driving post, so you will use a company vehicle as part of your patrols while representing Allied Universal with agility, reliability, innovation, teamwork, and integrity.

What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to site personnel and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a utilities location.
  • Respond to alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and notify site contacts and/or public emergency services as appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, yards, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized access and/or suspicious activity.
  • Control access points by checking identification and/or credentials, maintaining visitor logs, and directing deliveries and contractors to designated areas per site policy.
  • Complete timely documentation such as daily activity reports, incident reports, and shift handoff notes, and communicate observations to Allied Universal leadership and/or site management.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Client requires proof of high school diploma or GED.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
