As a Security Officer - Armed Patrol in Lynchburg, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, stay highly visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and support access control and badge checks at key points. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients and personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at an industrial manufacturing location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting actions taken and notifying appropriate contacts as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of production areas, warehouses, offices, parking areas, and the perimeter, noting unusual conditions and reporting concerns.
• Control access at vehicle and/or pedestrian entry points by verifying identification, processing visitor and contractor entry, and following site rules for deliveries and shipments.
• Carry and maintain assigned firearm and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal requirements, post orders, and applicable laws, including completing required reports and inspections.

Minimum Requirements:

• Be a graduate of a law enforcement or military police training program or equivalent.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
