Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Patrol Rover in San Jose, CA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an unarmed Patrol Officer at a high-tech manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will support access control, complete reports using a computer and/or tablet as needed, and deliver professional customer service through clear communication. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to employees, contractors, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of production areas, warehouses, loading docks, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor access points and control entry for personnel and deliveries, verifying identification and/or authorization in accordance with location requirements.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site leadership and/or public emergency services as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate observed hazards, maintenance concerns, and/or unusual conditions through the established reporting process.

Minimum Requirements:

• Customer Service Experience - preferred.
• Comfortable Using Computer or Tablet - preferred.
• State, County, or City Issued Security License - preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
