Project Director (s) (full-time, multiple openings) needed in San Jose, CA to lead multiple large-scale, complex architectural projects through design and delivery phases. Provide project leadership and client relationship skills to build our capabilities to inspire and realize projects of all scales and complexities. Work directly with senior management representatives, facilities and project managers, and other project stakeholders leading planning studies to determine project requirements and objectives. Manage client expectations, multi-disciplinary teams, and meeting scope, schedule, and budget utilizing advanced knowledge of the architectural planning and design process, code requirements, and design of building systems. Create project status presentations for delivery to clients or project personnel and develop or update project plans including information such as objectives, technologies, schedules, funding, and staffing. Plan, schedule, or coordinate project activities to meet deadlines and submit project deliverables to clients, ensuring adherence to quality standards. Engage in business development for market presence by cultivating strategic client relationships. Work with office and regional leadership in business development efforts to grow our practice in the Northwest region by developing new relationships and expanding existing client relationships while diversifying our lines of work. Participate in public speaking engagements at industry events and conference presentations, author publications and increase awareness through active social media outlets.

Must have a Bachelor's degree (or foreign equivalent) in Architecture, Interior Design, or related field, plus ten (10) years of design experience (non-intern, non-fellowship) with all of the following:

1. Driving project delivery across all phases, including planning, documentation, construction administration, and closeout;

2. Managing design and construction of large-scale architectural and interiors projects within the fields of higher education, multi-residential, and commercial workplace architecture, with programming and space planning responsibilities;

3. Full consultant team coordination, including structural, mechanical, electrical, and specialty disciplines; leading relationships with clients, general contractors, agencies, engineering and specialty consultants;

4. Code evaluation and integration of accessibility, zoning, and local and state regulatory requirements;

5. Sustainable design, including LEED-certified or equivalent environmental performance goals;

6. Bridging shell and core design with branded interiors and workplace strategy and FF&E planning and implementation;

7. Facilitating multiple aspects of client, team, and project coordination, including full documentation coordination with general contractor, structural, mechanical, electrical, lighting, facade, audio/visual, acoustics, interiors, wind, landscape, civil consultants, and working directly with other consultants and/or contractors; AND

8. Developing fee proposals and associated fee structures aligned with the approved scope and schedule and preparing comprehensive project schedules.

All experience may be acquired concurrently. Incidental telecommuting may apply. Standard benefits will be offered, and employees will be eligible for bonuses.

The base salary range is $151,902.00 to $165,000.00, commensurate with relevant experience.
