Christman Facility Solutions is looking for an Electrical Foreman to join our Dallas, Texas region. This role will be responsible for team supervision in the installations, alterations, additions and / or repair of electrical systems, conductors and associated materials and equipment within the commercial electrical industry.

What You Will Do:

As Electrical Foreman, your primary daily responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Leads crew in safe work habits to comply with all company policies and procedures; counsels to correct non-compliance if necessary with assistance from Electrical Superintendent.

  • Assists Project Manager by performing oversight and leadership in the field to share expectations for production goals and budgets and schedules with crew.

  • Completes and submits all necessary documents to office including timesheets, material requests, as-builds, daily logs and pre-task forms.

  • Prepares and submits various requests for shutdowns, energized work, lockout tag-outs, and facility work permits.

  • Coordinates projects to schedule city inspections and attend walk-thru' s of job sites with authorities having jurisdiction and company management.

  • Demonstrates knowledge of trade skills and work alongside crew to install a quality product according to plans and specifications.

  • Performs layout and pre-plan daily to procure materials, tools, and equipment with assistance from crew leads.

  • Leads and assists crew in wire pulls and with installation and wiring of receptacles, switching devices and lighting.

  • Demonstrates proper use and care of tools and equipment and maintains company issued tools and PPE in good working order. Returns damaged tools for repair or replacement and keeps secure against theft or loss.

  • Follows all Christman policies and procedures; ensures compliance with applicable state and federal laws and regulations.

  • Keeps immediate working area clean. Must follow material procedures.

  • Identifies and reports safety hazards. Takes all necessary corrective action to eliminate or minimize hazards.

  • Possesses a working knowledge and understanding of phase conductors, conduit fill, conductor ampacity / de-rating, and voltage drop calculations.

  • Trained and experienced to work on or in proximity to energized electrical parts or circuit conductors with necessary approvals and permits.

  • Demonstrates safe working practices and complies with all safety requirements.

  • Complete all required and assigned training for this role.

What You Will Bring to the Team:

Required experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • Four (4+) or more years of commercial electrical experience, including leadership roles.

  • -or- Equivalent combination of the above education, training, and experience.

  • Current State issued Journeyman Electrical License

Preferred experience, knowledge, and skills for this role include:

  • First-Aid/CPR with AED

  • OSHA-10 certification

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Work requires a current driver's license and ability to legally and safely operate company trucks, including lift-gate.

  • Must have ability to read and write.

  • Must be able to interpret and understand blue-prints, schematics, and label.

  • Must have a working knowledge of codes and local ordinances.

  • Must be qualified to operate trenchers and aerial man lifts and have experience with power tools, saws, drills, knockout punches, wire tuggers, pipe benders, cable cutters, and able to operate (2) handed tools.

  • Must maintain a current state-issued Journeyman Electrical License.
