About the Role

We are seeking a Tech 2, Bakery Maintenance to join our team at our Ontario, CA bakery. As a Tech 2, you will be accountable for maintaining bakery production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe, sanitary, and reliable operation. Your work directly supports production uptime, food safety compliance, and overall equipment effectiveness.

  • Shift: 2nd
  • Hours: 2PM - 10:30PM
  • Weekend Availability: Required



Compensation



  • Hourly Rate: $33 - $37



Core Accountabilities (What You'll Be Doing)



  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance to ensure equipment reliability and consistent production output
  • Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and PLCrelated issues in bakery systems
  • Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas while following sanitation, safety, and GMP standards
  • Complete maintenance documentation, logs, and work records accurately and in a timely manner
  • Conduct routine inspections to identify potential equipment failures and proactively resolve issues
  • Collaborate with production and quality teams to address equipment, safety, and foodsafety concerns
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance equipment performance and food safety



Minimum Qualifications (What You Bring to the Table)



  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 4-7 years of industrial maintenance experience (preferably in food or bakery manufacturing)
  • Strong mechanical, electrical, and PLC troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Effective communication skills and proficiency in documentation
  • Proficiency with SAP, Excel, Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint



Preferred Qualifications (Extra Ingredients for Success)



  • Experience with bakeryspecific processes such as fermentation and bun production
  • Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and allergen control programs
  • Prior experience in a fastpaced food manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies
  • Exposure to automated production equipment and control systems
