The Virginia Film Festival (VAFF) and Virginia Theatre Festival (VTF) seek a full-time Marketing Manager. The position shapes and executes the marketing and promotional strategy for both Festivals. The position will help conceptualize, pitch, and create promotional content across social media, e-newsletters, and websites as well as lead advertising, targeted marketing, and PR campaigns. They will work closely with leadership to maximize marketing and communications in support of strengthening relationships with sponsors and partners as well as strengthening community outreach and engagement initiatives. The position will report to the VAFF/VTF Managing Director. Now in its 39th year, the Virginia Film Festival is widely recognized as one of the leading regional film festivals in America and is known for its commitment to taking audiences beyond the screen to explore some of the most important issues of our time. As UVA's professional summer theatre for over 50 years, the Virginia Theatre Festival presents an annual summer festival of musicals, classic works, and new plays for our local Charlottesville, Albemarle, and UVA communities. About the Position The anticipated start date is April, 2026. This position is in-person, located in Charlottesville, VA.This is a exempt-level, benefited position; learn more about UVA Benefits. This position is a restricted position and is dependent upon project need, availability of funding and performance. Anticipated Hiring Range: $55,000-$65,000 commensurate with education and experience. This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers and will occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings and programs.
